Mission 1 Power! WAHOO!

SUPER MISSION #1: Whatever happened to Surge?

I've been in the Air Force for about a year and a half now, but in all that time I have not seen any Surge in the places I have been.  Surge, if you don't know, is a delicious beverage marketed by Coca-Cola that is green and a has a little bite and a citrus flavor.  This is my favorite soda of all time, but some time ago, perhaps 2 years ago,  it began to become difficult to find it at all.  So, for the entirety of my AF career thus far, and a few months before, I have not had any Surge.  Today, the 17th of November, 2002, I decided to begin my Super Mission career by FINDING OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO SURGE!!

MISSION #1 Objectives: Find out what happened to Surge.

                                           acquire some Surge.

It was actually easy to discover what happened to Surge.  If you are interested, go to SaveSurge and you'll see that Surge is still around, just hard to find.  At SaveSurge I found a list of local stores that might carry Surge in their fountains.  Armed with said list My surge-finding directions. I headed out for adventure, disdaining to call ahead.

After a short drive, this is what I discovered! A magical source of Surge goodness!

What did I do with this knowledge, you might ask?

BEHOLD!  140 oz of victory!!

I decided that this was not the best way to store my newly-found wealth of Surge.  I thought long and hard, I opened up some of my old physics books and researched the effects of hydrostatic pressure on carbonation and the temperature which would inhibit carbonation-loss the most.  I put all this information together and created what I feel is the most perfect Surge storage device ever. . .SURGE JUG!

A super amazing device soon to be sold at a dollar store near you!!

(I admit it has a striking resemblance to a Sunny D jug I tore the label off of and made a new one out of paper for, but I assure you this thing has super technology inside!)

So what did I learn today?  Coca-Cola needs to make Surge available in cans in my area, I don't really like any soda out of a fountain, but as long as I have SURGE JUG I guess I will continue going back to fill the Surge void in my life.

Results:    Found SaveSurge.org.

                13 miles driven

                140 oz of Surge! acquired

I am declaring this mission to be a SUCCESS.
